Our Church History

Messiah Pentecostal Ministry started in the City of West Covina, California. The Lord called Pastor Edward but he delayed a long time in stepping out to start the church because of his personal ignorance, stalling the gifts of the Holy Spirit and pursuit of the “American Dream”. Pastor Edward and his family went to seek the face of the Lord for many times with fasting and prayer retreat centers in California. The Lord opened the door and gave them directions to minister for His Kingdom. Today,Messiah Pentecostal Ministry is located in Anaheim, California. We have English and Spanish congregations.

Our church is a Holy Spirit filled ministry. We embrace the active working of the Spirit of God in our meetings and encourage members to seek the gifts as stated by Apostle Paul
1)Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.
2) For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit.
3) On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their up building and encouragement and consolation.
4) The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church.
5) Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up. (I Cor 14:1-5)

Our doors are open to all Believers who love the Word of God and live by the Word in Christ Only under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
